Publication Workflow Notes

  • The Publication PDF job restored the LaTeX auxiliary cache, compiled the article PDF, and uploaded the publication artifact successfully.
  • The Notify Discord about publication PDF step was skipped. That is expected when DISCORD_WEBHOOK is not configured for the run context.
  • GitHub emitted a deprecation annotation for actions/cache@v4 because it still runs on Node.js 20. The run still succeeded, but the workflow should eventually move to a Node 24-ready cache action release once one is published.

Superseded Failures

The following publication workflow failures were observed and then corrected in later commits:

  • 23223085756 on commit fddd71bd5a51d5daeade428892e1728fa3940cb5: workflow file rejected because the artifact output reference used dot syntax against the hyphenated artifact-url output name.
  • 23223209824 on commit 9df0bcff528f6c7c431f65d3ca53fc2e4fc64693: workflow file rejected because the Discord step referenced secrets.DISCORD_WEBHOOK directly in the if expression.
